Brake Operator

·         Requires high school graduate or equivalent education.

·         Requires basic reading, writing, and communication skills to superior and other employees.

·         Requires physical ability to perform activities common to the trade including lifting up to 30 lbs.

• Responsibilities include basic entry level job duties and works under direct supervision of a lead or supervisor. 

·         Requires a minimum of two (2) years’ experience or as an assistant in the work area.

• Forms sheet metal parts according to work order and drawing requirements.
• Reviews work order and print to determine forming specifications.
• Assures proper materials accompany work order and run production parts according to print specifications. 

·         Requires physical ability to perform activities common to the trade including the ability to hand adjust parts as required; holding and measuring parts; and holding part and stepping on brake pedal.

·         Requires the ability to use equipment common to the trade among which is NC Brake and hand tools common to the trade.

·         Requires ability to read blue prints and use of basic measuring devices to inspect parts produced.

• All work performed at this level must be inspected at job startup, in process and at completion of the job run.
