Associate Director for Business Operations

To develop, implement and manage and administrative, operational and financial infrastructure in a time of intensive growth, the NAU School of Informatics, Computing and Cyber Systems (SICCS) is seeking candidates for the position of Associate Director for Business Operations (AD). The AD will independently perform work of considerable complexity and sensitivity relating to SICCS' strategic management, planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating of administrative, financial, and operational activities. The ideal candidate will provide forward-thinking, team-building leadership to ensure the effective establishment and delivery of all business, operational, and financial services for SICCS in support of its academic, research and service mission, including budgeting, purchasing, accounting, asset management, grants management, academic personnel, payroll services, and preparation of financial reports. Applicants should possess advanced business and financial knowledge to establish and manage effective business practices for the unit, and to effectively train and supervise administrative staff to ensure sound and effective management of the unit. The AD must be able to interact effectively with all levels of University faculty, staff, and administration in order to facilitate complex, collaborative activities. Strong managerial, financial, analytical and decision-making skills are required; the ability to think and plan strategically and perform duties independently are essential. Reports to the SICCS Director.
