We are looking for a UX Designer / Front-End Developer who can create remarkable and simple user experiences. This role is not just about creating great design, it's about understanding personas, figuring out what users want to do, and building a UI that makes our product simple and obvious to use.
As designer/developer, you’ll be responsible for capturing feature ideas from our sales, marketing, operations, and development teams, designing the full UX for those features, and implementing the front-end design. You’ll work closely with the rest of our development team to coordinate the functionality in the back end and business logic of our product to support your designs. And you will shape the future of our product line through your insights, analysis, and ability to define, communicate, and realize your UX vision.
Responsibilities
Active involvement in defining product strategy and features
Design systems that meet the vertices of form & function
Conduct user testing and feedback gathering
Write the front-end code that implements your designs
Incorporate rapid feedback from customers and customer-facing teams
Be the voice of the customer on our development team, providing clear goals and use cases that deliver incremental value to our customers
Review and manage the product’s vision, storyboards, and user workflows
Flesh-out feature requests: Conduct necessary research, capture use cases and value that will be delivered to the end-user when the feature is complete
Help the sales and marketing teams communicate the capabilities of the product and understand the needs they fulfill for our customers and prospects
Analyze product and feature usability via quantitative and qualitative methods
Keep abreast of competitor feature sets and the marketplace
Requirements
3–5 years of UX design and front-end web development experience (HTML/CSS/JavaScript)
Refined aesthetic sense utilizing composition, balance, symmetry, and white space to both work within and expand our brand’s style
Understanding of what makes an experience good and bad; you empathize with our user’s problems, find stunning solutions, polish the details, and work with the whole team to execute them
Self-starter who constantly looks for ways to make in application experiences visually stunning without sacrificing simplicity in its experience
Attention to detail with every pixel, word, or requirement
User testing is part of your design process, and you welcome the chance to be wrong
Knowledge of Sketch, Illustrator, or other design/wireframing/prototyping tools
Bonus Points
Experience with prototyping and agile development
Experience defining interface transitions and animations
Experience maintaining style guides across multiple teams and products
