Position description:

The Site Operations Engineer will help maintain the company’s mission critical production infrastructure to high levels of availability, security, scalability, performance, and efficiency to our customers.

Position responsibilities:

Improve service availability and scalability through process, tools, and automation
Configure and maintain servers and networks.
Configure and maintain software components, i.e., operating systems, web servers, application execution environments.
Configure and maintain system monitoring and backups.
Manage network security, routing, bandwidth, performance.
Participate in the team’s 24x7 on-call rotation.
Monitor production systems, handle alerts and troubleshoot problems.

Skills & Responsibilities

Required skills and experience:

3+ years of Linux systems administration or operations experience.
Experience managing, troubleshooting, and tuning Linux systems.
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing and firewalls.
Familiarity with scripting/programming skills for automating system administration tasks
Good interpersonal and communications skills; ability to communicate to technical and non-technical personnel.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, high growth environment.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science with network engineering or information systems emphasis, or related fields.
