Experienced Inbound Tele-Sales Representative - A

Status: Full Time and Part Time Positions

Hours: Varies

Salary: Varies

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Supervisor

 

Summary

Reporting to the Supervisor of their bay, the Experienced Inbound Tele-Sales Representative is responsible for enabling existing or potential customers for Empereon or Constar clients to find solutions that enhance their use of the client's products or services, using company and client-provided materials and sales guidelines and procedures.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

Active Listening - Actively listen and guide the conversation with the customer, restating and checking for understanding, and utilizing statements made by the customer to enable the customer to find solutions among the client's products and services.

Communication - Communicate with the customer with professional tone and verbiage, using common courtesies such as please and thank you, and clearly articulating messages provided by the client without the use of slang or jargon.

Knowledge - Fully utilize all technologies and resources provided by the client and the company, including internet tools and technology and product information, to enhance the customer's utilization of the client's products and services.

Conversational Sales - Tailor each customer conversation to ensure the right fit and experience for each customer, within the guidelines, constraints and limitations required by the client and the company.

  • Deliver prepared sales talks, reading from scripts that describe products or services, in order to persuade potential customers to purchase or enhance their use of a product or service.
  • Obtain customer information such as company name, contact name, address, and payment method, and enter orders into computers.
  • Adjust sales scripts to better target the needs and interests of specific individuals or businesses.

Goal Achievement -- Adhere to development plan by closing sales and meeting monthly sales and efficiency goals.

Compliance -- Comply with federal and state regulations, as well as company and client policy, with regards to the handling of consumer and business confidential information.

Competencies:

Customer Service -- Maintains composure and diffuses the situation in the midst of irate customer responses; handles rejection from customers with a positive attitude; handles irate customers without taking action against them; turns customer frustration around to meet their needs and achieve sales goals.

Client Service -- courteous and respectful with clients when on site or on calls. Refers concerns or observed issues or trends to manager immediately for resolution. Ensures client protocols are followed on all calls.

Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification.

Teamwork - Contributes to building a positive team spirit.

Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; able to work a flexible schedule and able to work overtime when necessary.

Critical thinking -- able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

 

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales scripts, coaching guides, and procedure manuals;

Able to enter customer data accurately and write updates and correspondence

Comfortable speaking via phone with customers; understands and familiar with standard consumer lingo.

Speak with clear diction and proper grammar in the language(s) requested by the client for the assigned project.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

Skills & Responsibilities

Qualifications:

Professional attire and demeanor

Prefer minimum two years telemarketing or sales experience, either in person or via phone, including experience with tech-savvy and sophisticated customers.

Proficient with basic technology applications, including email, internet browsers, search functions, and data management systems.

Able to use basic math skills proficiently.

Prefer some college experience.

 

Working Conditions:

Sitting: Frequently in the office and during breaks and lunchtime.

Standing/ Walking: Periodically throughout the workday on hard floor surface.

Hands/Arms: Constantly in use throughout the workday. Frequent use of computer and other office equipment.

Work- site conditions: The work is performed inside a call center environment.

Unusual Working Conditions: Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends, holidays, 6-day workweeks, and back-to-back shifts when needed.

Salary Details

Salary includes base pay, plus aggressive bonus structure.
