Packaging Technician I

Job Description

• Comply with FDA, AATB, OSHA, cGTP, and state rules and regulations at all times.
• Responsible for the packaging, labeling, and preparation of final product for distribution per PTT operating policies and procedures
• Assist packaging team in the completion of assigned tasks to meet the company goals.
• Maintain constant communication with management on packaging issues. 
• Responsible for the completion of all packaging documentation in a timely manner using current and approved forms and submitting them to Quality Systems for review.
• Responsible for the documentation of all process deviations from standard procedures and reporting all deviation to QS for investigation.
• Responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the clean room, instruments, and/or lab equipment used in packaging stages.
• Learn and develop skills in all areas of manufacturing stages including freeze-drying, sterilization, packaging, and production.
• Be crossed trained in other critical function of production.
• May be responsible for assisting the production team to process donor.
• Complete all necessary safety and job specific training and re-training on an annual basis.

Skills & Responsibilities

• Technical degree in related field and/or equivalent education and work experience required.
• Biologics manufacturing experience, working in a clean room environment and/or utilizing aseptic technique is a plus. 
• Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to apply consistent company SOP, AATB, and FDA standards and regulations through-out the production and packaging process.
• Highly motivated, task oriented, strong attention to detail, able to follow directions, and keep accurate records required.
