Community Specialist
Marketing / Sales / Leasing / Customer Service:
- Handle sales, outreach, prospecting and lead generation with a focus on converting leads into sales. Conduct marketing surveys and weekly traffic reports.
- Make recommendations based on analysis of reports.
- Handle marketing outreach to include interacting with neighborhood groups and community organizations.
- Greet prospective residents and show apartments.
- Assist in the preparation of newsletters, market surveys and resident activities.
- Attend all assigned resident activities.
- Partners with General Manager and service team to ensure community appearance meets company standards and demonstrates curb appeal.
- Monitors trends to prepare for future occupancy needs.
- Understands and complies with federal, state and local fair housing laws as well as landlord tenant laws.
- Effectively embodies the Novus Residences brand at all times.
- Represents Novus in a professional manner at all times.
- Maintains a professional appearance and attitude when dealing with both current and prospective residents, coworkers, vendors and the public.
Administrative / Operations
- Process applications and lease renewals.
- Enter guest cards and traffic information.
- Assist new residents during the move-in process.
- Work with the maintenance department to handle apartment turnovers, move-ins and moveouts, and work order requests.
- Handle administrative functions to include clerical and reception responsibilities.
- Maintain effective internal controls over operational activities in compliance with best practice policies and guidelines.
- Assist in bookkeeping responsibilities, not limited to posting rent payments, collection efforts for current and past residents, adjustments to ledgers.
Assist residents with any community concerns.
PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to work any shift Sunday-Saturday.
- High school diploma or equivalent certification.
- Ability to develop rapport.
- Ability to complete tasks.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, and Google Chrome.
