Experienced Sales Manager

Job Description

The Sales Manager is responsible for mentoring, coaching and building a strong team of business development and sales development professionals. They are responsible for ensuring new business targets and growth goals are being met and reporting results weekly. Incumbents are responsible for holding teammates accountable, and help them exceed their individual sales targets.
In addition, the management position is in charge of all departmental training needs to include new hire training to continued education, as well as both sales and industry related trainings.

Responsibilities:

• Support Account Executives in cultivating their relationships with net new client
accounts;
• Set and hold teammates accountable for monthly and quarterly goals;
• Effectively communicate to all levels of an organization Hypertec's complete value proposition;
• Coach and train teammates by partnering on calls and appointments to build confidence and effectiveness when communicating Hypertec's value proposition;
• Accompany teammates on sales calls;
• Mentor and help train members of the Sales Development team;
• Build internal relationships and communication processes with all areas of the organization in order to ensure a complete and comprehensive knowledge base as it relates to Hypertec's total offering;
• Assist in developing and uncovering qualified prospects for assigned territories, to eventually be managed by Account Executives;
• Responsible for providing feedback and reports based on revenue generated and activity pipeline to various levels of the organization;
• Provide direction to Account Executives as it relates to industry trends and account mapping/strategies.
• Identify, negotiate and execute non-traditional lead generation opportunities;
• Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of leading industry trends such as electronic commerce, spend management and technology initiatives;
• Prioritize, manage and lead special projects to timely execute agreed strategic initiatives;
• Build and educate the Sales Development team on how to effectively develop field level partner relationships;
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Responsibilities

• Minimum of 5 years sales management experience in the IT market with a proven track record of success.
• Working knowledge of computer networking, servers, storage & software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required (French would be an asset but not mandatory)
• Ambitious, career oriented, energetic, self-motivated and results driven
• Excellent presentation, negotiation and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage several projects concurrently.
• Proficiency in using computers and are comfortable with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and utilizing the internet.
