Crew Lead in Training with Driver License

 

Pay: $14.00-$17.00 an hour

Summary of Job:
This position leads our onsite teams out in the field under the direction of the Foremen. As a crew lead, you actively manage safe operations through the SULU program, manage and mentor crew members and communicate with the crew and foremen throughout the day.

 

Summary of training program:

Development of our people is key to our success. As a new Crew Lead you will spend your first 3-4 weeks in our Crew Lead Training Program. This includes working with an onsite crew and Crew Lead Mentor as you learn our safety program, field practices, daily crew lead activities and company culture:

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

·         Lead DLC’s safety culture and practices at your location for all DLC workers

·         Manage the crew to achieve the plan outlined for the day, hold crew members accountable and prioritize tasks in a changing environment

·         Regular communication with the Foremen about safety, production goals, maintenance issues and employee performance

 

The following skills are required:

·         Active participation and leadership of the SULU safety program

·         Ability to give and take direction

·         Operate small pieces of equipment (i.e. weed eater, blower, power, hand tools, etc.)

·         Ability to organize yourself and parts of the crew (typically 1-3 crew members) to achieve the plan for the day and week

·         Interact with residents respectfully as you encounter them in the Community

·         Must be able to lead by example following DLC’s core values (quality, efficiency, safety & teamwork)

 

Qualifications:

·        Operate small pieces of equipment (i.e. weed eater, blower, power, hand tools, etc.)

·        Ability to read and interpret basic property maps

 

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

·         Able to lift 50 lbs. (Equipment, tools, and supplies may need to be lifted, carried and or pushed)

·         Able to walk/stand for long periods of time

·         Able to reach, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, squat, crouch and grasp along with repetitive movements may part of daily job duties

·         Able to work under extreme and often adverse climatic conditions

·         Contact with various plants and collected debris
