Universal Background Screening is a respected national provider of background screening and drug testing services. We are committed to building long-term customer relationships based on trust, innovation and quality service. We are currently seeking full time Court Research Specialists to join our growing team. This position is responsible for providing accurate criminal and civil court record information to our clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform record research through various court access systems
• Review and analyze court data, identifying key information and entering it into a common format
• Contact clerk of court and other agencies via telephone as needed to obtain and/or confirm case information
• Review your own work and that of Court Records team members to assure accuracy in search criteria and data entry

Located at 16th Street and Northern in the Squaw Peak Corporate Center
Full Time: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm or 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday

Skills & Responsibilities

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent written communication skills (spelling/grammar)
• Demonstrated ability to complete sequential tasks in an efficient and accurate manner
• Ability to work in a fast paced atmosphere with a fluctuating workload
• Work independently and/or in a team environment as needed
• Data entry/word processing skills and a high degree of comfort navigating the internet and using web-based applications
• Typing/keyboarding skills of at least 35 words/minute

Education and Experience:

• High School education is required, but coursework or an Associates degree in Criminal Justice, Paralegal or other related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of criminal court processes and terminology will be an asset to this position
