Drug Screening Technician

Job Description

Universal Background Screening is currently seeking a motivated individual to join our award-winning team as a Drug Screening Technician. Drug Screening Technicians are responsible for collecting urine specimens from donors at our local collection facility and at customer locations, as well as inputting of drug test results into the electronic tracking system. Technicians are also responsible for processing instant tests and/or preparing specimens for transport to the laboratory for testing via courier service or overnight delivery. Please note that this position is for collection of drug testing specimens only, there are no venipuncture (blood) collections performed. his position may also be responsible for providing customer service to our clients related to their drug testing and occupational health orders, following up with labs and clinics to obtain results, inputting, reviewing and finalizing drug test and occupational health reports into our electronic tracking system.

Skills & Responsibilities

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Previous experience in Drug Testing, Occupational Health, Third Party Administrator (TPA) or similar position is preferred. DOT collection experience a plus.
Must be comfortable handling urine specimens as an essential job function.
Quickly and accurately record and process specimens, ensuring all relevant information is accurate, all requested tests are ordered, collection procedures are followed, while maintaining a chain of custody at all times.
Maintain a clean and safe work collection environment, in compliance with industry protocols
Communicate in a professional, customer service-oriented manner with donors
