Circulator(Clean Room Assistant)

Job Description

• Comply with FDA, AATB, OSHA, cGTP, AORN and state rules and regulations at all times.

• Assist processing and packaging technicians with setting up the sterile field and aseptic gowning and gloving in the cleanrooms.
• Responsible for assembling dirty instruments and supplies at the end of day for decontamination.
• Responsible for creating instrument packs and wrapping all decontaminated instruments and supplies for sterilization.
• Responsible for starting the sterilization runs in the autoclaves and unloading the sterilizers once the cycle is complete.
• Responsible for turning over the room performing cleanroom suite cleaning and disinfection following Universal Precautions and PTT SOPs.
• Responsible for checking cleanroom supplies and notifying responsible parties to ensure the proper par levels are maintained
• Responsible for maintaining the proper levels of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in locker rooms, clean rooms and General Laboratory Area.
• Responsible for the end of day “cleaning and preparation” of the processing area including a thorough decontamination of cleanroom suites and the General Laboratory Area.
• Complete all necessary safety and job specific training and re-training on an annual basis.

Skills & Responsibilities

• High School graduate, GED or equivalent experience.  
• Familiarity with medical environments utilizing aseptic technique as an orderly, medical assistant or surgical technician is preferred but not necessary. 
• Central sterilization and/or medical supply experience is preferred but not necessary. 
• Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to apply consistent company SOP, AATB, and FDA standards and regulations throughout daily activities.
• Highly motivated, task oriented, strong attention to detail, able to follow directions, and keep accurate records required.
