Warehouse Technician I

Job Description

The Warehouse Technician I assists the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor with the packaging and shipment of products and materials for PTT distribution to customers and vendors. He / She assists with incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments in accordance with PTT, FDA, AATB, and state rules and regulations. 

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Comply with FDA, AATB, OSHA, cGTP’s and state rules and regulations at all times.
• Works closely with both the CSR and Inventory Clerk I to ensure shipments are accurate and packaged in a timely manner
• Responsible for stocking Central Supply
• Responsible for warehouse cleaning that includes breaking down boxes, removing trash and general cleanliness of this area
• Assists in checking in and verification of all incoming and outgoing shipments against packing slips, invoices, orders, or other records.
• Remains knowledgeable and keeps up with current software and industry standards related to shipping procedures for UPS, FedEx, and other couriers used by PTT.
• Affixes appropriate shipping labels on packaged items in accordance with industry standards.
• Helps handle tissue returns according to company SOPs and reports returns received to Quality Systems in a timely manner
• Assists with checking in and verifying the condition of all new donor tissue shipments including taking the temperature, verifying the accuracy of records and ensuring proper documentation is received, as well as placing full donor tissue in quarantine freezers in a timely manner
• Assists with the tracking and ordering of supplies and materials (including OEM packaging containers) used during distribution to ensure adequate inventory is kept to avoid disruption to distribution schedule.
• Assists with maintaining sufficient OEM packaging boxes and materials.
• Complete all necessary safety and job specific training and re-training on an annual basis.

Skills & Responsibilities

• High School Graduate, GED or equivalent experience.
• Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred.
• Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be willing and able to handle biological products.
