Software Engineer/ Interface Developer

Job Description

Are you looking to be part of a cutting-edge development team? Behavioral Health Information Network of Arizona (BHINAZ) is now seeking a Software Engineer/Interface Developer to join the team that is responsible for the design, modification, development, and configuration of interfaces and software programming applications. Daily activities include supporting and/or installing interfaces, software applications and/or operating systems. This individual will participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.

Responsibilities:

Configuration of hardware, systems and interface connections.
Engineering of technical solutions including HL7 interfaces, web services, and custom code.
Support ancillary applications including configuration, testing and normalizing.
Participate in major hardware, system and application purchases and upgrades.
Engage outside vendors to support new and existing applications.
HIE & Electronic Health Record (EHR) integration and software application testing prior to go-live.
Participate in all technical aspects of software go-live.
Perform troubleshooting of software, hardware, interfaces, and connectivity.
Provide post go-live IT support and internal network and systems maintenance.
Responsible for developing, supporting and enforcing organizational security policies to ensure compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR part 2.
Perform application and support documentation.

Skills & Responsibilities

Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. A minimum of 2 years' experience implementing and/or supporting electronic interfaces, MPI, and health information exchange technologies preferred. Experience in an integrated health system or health environment preferred. Strong SQL skills required. JavaScript, C#, SQL and skills with developing SRS dashboards a plus. Experience with NextGen and Mirth highly desirable,
