Marc Community Resources, formerly Marc Center, is a private not-for-profit organization providing educational, therapeutic, rehabilitation and social services to adults with developmental and behavioral health challenges.

Marc Community Resources believes in providing opportunities for people with disabilities to be actively involved in where and how they live, learn, work and play.

We are currently looking for: Behavioral Health Technician, Direct Support Providers, Job Development and Placement Specialists, Vocational Service Specialists, Recovery Coaches, Floor Care Technicians, Production Technicians, Janitorial Technicians.

What is the role of a Behavioral Health Technician?

Provides services that meet the unique needs of adults who have substance abuse problems, are seriously mentally ill, or have co-occuring disorders. Assist in accessing community services/resources. Be aware of individual physical restrictions, medical concerns, and crisis intervention plans. Ensure the implementation of ISP objectives. Attend clinical staffing meetings. Provide assistance in action as a liasion for individual and family concerns. Provide direct care duties, including activities of daily living, as assigned. Redirect and/or stabilize behavior of clients.

What is the role of a Direct Support Provider?

Provide direct care duties, including necessary activities regarding social skills, employment skills, and daily living skills. Provide services that are person-centered, incorporate active treatment, are developmentally/age appropriate, culturally sensitive and show respect and disgnity. Ensure the implementation of applicable support plan objectives as well as the completion of necessary assessments/evaluations for each individual and present necessary information at support planning meetings. Encourage consumers to participate in all areas of community life. Assist and encourage consumers in making informed choices.

Skills & Responsibilities

Direct Support Provider-

-High School diploma or GED

-Minimum 3 months experience with developmental disabilities

-Must have a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card

-Must have a clean 39 month Motor Vehicle Record

-Must have a positiive can-do attitude, compassion, excellent communications skills and the ability to be a great role model

 

Behavioral Health Technician

-High School Diploma with 4 years of experience working with individuals diagnosed with a serious mental illness

-Associate's degree in a related field and 2 years experience working with individuals diagnosed with a serious mental illness

-Bachelor's degree in a related field with 1 year of experience working with individuals diagnosed with a serious mental illness

-Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card

-Must have a clean 39 month Motor Vehicle Record
