Independent Licensed Social Worker / Counselor (Clinician)

Job Description

This AZ Independent Licensed Clinician will provide outpatient assessment and counseling services for patients and families enrolled in the DMG Children’s Rehabilitation Services (CRS) program. The CRS Clinic is an integrated healthcare facility, where the candidate would work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to meet the behavioral health needs of the service recipients. Responsible for the provision of clinical assessments and behavioral health interventions in a medical setting. Responsible for treatment planning in conjunction with the child’s/family’s multi-disciplinary team. Demonstrates the ability to perform, analyze and document behavioral health assessments, interventions and services in an integrated setting and/or in the client’s home or community. Maintains working knowledge of community resources and effectively provides information to clients/caregivers. Effectively works with primary care physician and other specialists to cooperatively meet the needs of clients/families. Will participate in trainings, staffing and supervision as determined to provide necessary education to multi-disciplinary team members, clients/families.

Skills & Responsibilities

Position Qualifications:

Master Degree or higher required
Independent License from Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners required.
Experience conducting assessment evaluations and counseling children and families.
Experience working in a health-care setting
Excellent verbal communication and written skills.
Basic computer literacy with a minimum typing speed of 25 wpm.
Bi-Lingual – Spanish (preferred, not required)

Relevant Work Experience:

Prior experience working with the Arizona Principles for Children and Families.
Knowledge of case management, family therapy techniques, trauma informed care.
Experience working in various treatment modalities appropriate for specified population utilizing a person centered, family centered strengths based approach.
